Visit Greensboro (GGCTA) is seeking an Integrated Marketing Specialist, Creative & Brand to help bring Greensboro’s story to life across digital, social, earned media, web and marketing channels.
This role is for a creative, strategic communicator who can turn ideas into compelling content, identify stories worth sharing and maintain a consistent brand voice across platforms. From developing social campaigns and website content to supporting media relations, influencer partnerships and sales initiatives, you’ll help shape how residents, visitors, meeting planners and partners experience the Greensboro brand.
What You’ll Do:
Create engaging content for social media, email, web, blogs, presentations, print collateral and other marketing channels.Develop and manage multi-platform organic and paid social media content and support influencer partnerships.Write and edit marketing copy, press materials, sales collateral, bid proposals and other brand communications.Manage the marketing content calendar and coordinate with internal teams to maintain a strategic, consistent content pipeline.Serve as a primary content editor for the Visit Greensboro website, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, user-friendly and on-brand.Implement SEO best practices, including keywords, metadata, alt text and internal linking.Execute routine website updates through the organization’s CMS.Support integrated digital marketing campaigns across social, email, web and paid media.Identify compelling story angles and support media relations, press releases, media visits and PR initiatives.Help develop crisis and reputation-management communications.Create B2B and sales-focused content that communicates Greensboro’s value to clients and partners.Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager, PR agency and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated campaigns.Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and other Agile workflows to keep projects moving from idea to execution.What We’re Looking For
You’re a strong storyteller who is equally comfortable writing a social caption, editing website copy, developing a press release or helping shape a larger campaign. You understand that great destination marketing is about more than promoting a place—it’s about connecting people to the experiences, communities and stories that make it distinctive.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, media relations or a related role.Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.Experience creating content for multiple digital platforms and audiences.Familiarity with social media strategy, content management systems and SEO best practices.Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Collaborative, adaptable and proactive approach to work.Experience with media relations, influencer marketing and/or Agile workflows is a plus.
