JOB TITLE: Senior Media Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Media
LOCATION: Remote or Hybrid in eligible states
About the Role
==============
The Senior Media Analyst is a skilled practitioner who can turn raw campaign and audience data into insight our teams and clients can act on. You know the platforms, the data sources, and the reporting tools well enough to build a clean, credible analysis without constant oversight. You can troubleshoot a broken data feed, spot a trend before anyone asks you to look for it, and make a defensible recommendation on your own.
You can build reporting and measurement frameworks across programmatic, paid social, paid search, partner-direct programs (using Google Campaign Manager, GCM) and traditional media with confidence. You have your own point of view on what the data is saying and why, and you are beginning to bring that perspective into the broader strategy on your accounts.
What You'll Do
==============
Analytics, Measurement, and Reporting
-------------------------------------
• Own reporting and measurement across your accounts from data pull through analysis and delivery. You are in the dashboards daily. Data validation, tagging QA, trend monitoring, and troubleshooting when the numbers don't reconcile.
• Analyze performance across multiple channels. Programmatic, direct IO/GCM, paid social, paid search, and traditional/offline media. You should be proficient in the platforms' native reporting as well as third-party and internal analytics tools, and able to reconcile data across all of them independently.
• Make smart analytical recommendations based on performance data. You can read what the data is telling you, identify what it means for the media plan, and bring forward a recommendation without waiting to be told.
• Build and maintain KPI frameworks, tagging and tracking requirements, and measurement plans that ensure the right data is being captured from the start.
• QA all data feeds, tracking implementations, and reporting outputs before they reach a client or senior stakeholder.
Strategic Development
---------------------
• Start contributing a strategic perspective to the work. You should be able to look across the accounts you support, identify patterns in what the data is showing, and bring those observations to the team with a recommendation, not just a data point.
• Begin thinking across channels. When you see something in the data that might affect paid search, paid social, or programmatic strategy, say so. The ability to connect what is happening in one channel to what should happen in another is the skill that separates a senior analyst from an analyst.
• Contribute to client-facing reporting that goes beyond delivery metrics. Help tell the story of what happened, what it means, and what the team should do next. Learn to connect platform data to business outcomes.
• Stay current on measurement methodologies, attribution models, and analytics tools and platforms. Bring what you are learning to the team.
Mentorship and Ways of Working
------------------------------
• Help media team when they need support. Answer questions, review dashboards and analyses, share what you have learned.
• Adopt and actively use the department's proprietary planning and reporting tools. Engage with the tools critically. Provide feedback on what works and what does not.
• Develop fluency with AI-assisted analytics and reporting tools. Understand how automation is changing the analysis side of media, and start building the skills to direct and interpret automated work.
• Collaborate with media planning and buying teams to ensure measurement connects to the broader media plan. Understand where your work fits in the larger strategy and flag when something does not align.
What We're Looking For
======================
The right person for this role is a precise, curious analyst who is starting to think beyond the dashboard. They are reliable with data, comfortable with ambiguity, and developing the strategic instincts that will carry them to the next level.
• 3+ years of experience in media analytics, marketing analytics, or a related discipline. Agency experience preferred.
• Hands-on proficiency with media and analytics platforms. Google Analytics/GA4, ad server and platform reporting, and visualization tools such as Adverity, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio. Strong Excel skills required.
• The ability to work independently. You do not need someone looking over your shoulder to build a clean analysis. You can be trusted with complex data sets and tight deadlines.
• A developing strategic perspective. You are starting to move beyond reporting the numbers and connect what you see in the data to what it means for the client's business.
• Cross-channel awareness. You understand that the channels you analyze do not operate in isolation and you are building the instinct to think across them.
• Strong attention to detail. Data validation, tagging, QA, reporting accuracy. You are precise and consistent.
• Clear communication skills. You can explain what the data is showing and why it matters in terms that are useful to people who are not in the dashboard with you.
• Openness to new tools and ways of working, including AI-assisted analytics and reporting.
What We Offer
=============
• Comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being.
• Generous time-off policy.
• Mobile stipend.
• 401k with company match.
• Community involvement with time and financial matching.
• Annual performance reviews with clear development planning.
• Learning and development investment.
