Outdoor Advertising Structure Technician

Lamar Advertising Company is looking for a motivated Outdoor Advertising Structure Technician to join our team in building, installing, and maintaining outdoor advertising structures. In this exciting and hands-on role, you will assemble and service both static and digital billboards while working at heights using lifts, trucks, and power tools. Your ability to read plans, measure, and lay out structures is crucial as you install hardware and lighting, and perform repairs while adhering to strict safety and OSHA standards. By collaborating closely with our operations and sales teams, you will help ensure that high-visibility campaigns launch successfully and represent Lamar with integrity in our local communities. Key Responsibilities Assemble, install, and maintain static and digital billboards, ensuring clients' campaign needs are met.Read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and mounting specifications for precise builds.Safely operate trucks, lifts, cranes, and power tools in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.Conduct routine inspections, perform repairs, and engage in preventive maintenance on structures and lighting.Coordinate with sales, operations, and real estate teams to schedule timely installations.Maintain a secure and clean job site, ensuring compliance with safety and local code regulations.Document completed work, including photos, measurements, and reports, using digital tools.Troubleshoot and resolve structural, electrical, and mounting issues in the field.Follow safety programs and training, consistently using proper personal protective equipment (PPE).Uphold a professional image while interacting with property owners, local officials, and community stakeholders.Required Skills Experience in billboard or outdoor sign installation.General construction and carpentry skills.Ability to rig and work at heights safely.Proficiency in reading blueprints and site plans.Knowledge of power tools and hand tools operation.Experience with aerial lifts, bucket trucks, or crane operation.Basic electrical and lighting troubleshooting skills.Understanding of site safety and OSHA compliance.Accuracy in measurement and layout.Competence in digital documentation and photo reporting.
