This strategic thinker will partner with all disciplines in the agency and add to the unique, positive culture at BBDO MW. NOTE: This is a hybrid role which requires a minimum of 3 days in our downtown Minneapolis office. Essential Job Functions Identify client challenges and implement strategies to meet themDevelop tactical recommendations based on campaign strategies and designed to produce outstanding resultsMonitor day-to-day client activities and managed workloads to the established timelinesLead and/or participate in all pre-planning client meetings to gather inputUse effective communication to present media plans to clients, and work with Planners and Analysts on their communication/presentation skillsDevelop and maintain effective relationships with media partnersStay on top of, and share knowledge with colleagues on, media trends and emerging media opportunities to encourage the best work possibleManage the work of Media Planners and Analysts by providing work direction and expertiseEstablish and maintain quality standards for group output to ensure continuity and consistencyLead and motivate employees through effective leadership techniquesCollaborate with internal teams to create synergies across the entire campaign Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing or related field.5-8 years of experience working in an agency media department or in-house media departmentExperience managing multiple clients in a variety of categoriesDigital and social planning experience requiredExposure to planning all other media channels preferredBuying experience preferred COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities) REQUIRED Knowledge of and proficiency in computer accessed media tools and databases (e.g. Strata, Nielsen, Pathmatics, MRI Simmons, GCM, Meta, Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Talkwalker, or other similar tools)Knowledge and competency in Sharepoint, Excel, PowerPoint and KeynoteAnalytical and detail-oriented; looks beyond the “what” and thinks about “why”Skilled in expressing complicated information clearly and succinctly both in writing and verballySkilled at organizing and prioritizing workSkilled at interpersonal relationships and ability to interact with individuals from all areas of the industry, both internally and externallySkilled with supervisory techniquesRobust negotiation skillsAbility to present complicated media plans in a simplified form to clientsAbility to apply strategic planning skills to the media planning processFlexibility to problem-solve, work under pressure, and to effectively adapt to ongoing changes Success Factors Self-motivationHigh performance standardsPositive attitudeAbility to work independently and collaboratively $75,000 - $85,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
