About this role

Marketing Strategist — Part-Time Contract ComfortLogic, LLC | Raleigh, NC (Hybrid/Remote-friendly, some local work required) Hours: ~20 hrs/week during ramp-up, tapering to an ongoing maintenance schedule About ComfortLogic We're ComfortLogic — a tech-forward HVAC company serving the southern Raleigh corridor (Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Clayton, South Raleigh). Everything we do is built around trust: with our customers, our team, and the neighborhoods we work in. We move fast and lean on technology, but only when it genuinely makes things better for the customer and the business — never as a substitute for doing right by people. We're launched and growing fast — expanding our commercial maintenance program, moving into new markets, and building a brand that earns trust every time it shows up. We just need the right person to tell our story through the right channels and content. The Role This is a hands-on strategy and content creation role. We have a marketing firm handling paid ad mechanics, but they need to be fed great content to work with — that's where you come in. You'll own our hyperlocal channels directly (social, community platforms) rather than just directing someone else's execution. The owner has a lot of marketing ideas — grounded in the real pain points residential and commercial customers actually have with HVAC and service businesses generally — and needs a strategist/creator who can take those ideas and turn them into actionable content and campaigns. What You'll Own Strategy & Content Planning Build and maintain a rolling content/campaign calendar across our hyperlocal channels (Facebook/Meta, Nextdoor, Google Business Profile, email). We’re doing some really cool stuff but we need to get the word out faster. Take the owner's marketing ideas — rooted in real pain points residential and commercial HVAC customers have — and turn them into actionable campaigns and content Plan and launch conversion-focused campaigns (e.g., seasonal tune-up offers) distinct from ongoing brand-building content Work through the outstanding backlog of deliverables from our previous marketing engagement, with a short timeline to get it all done Write the copy and content for new web pages covering services not yet on our current site, which was built to cover the minimum bases at launch (our digital marketing firm handles the technical build) Content & Copy Write and produce the content that feeds our digital marketing firm's ad strategy — they run the paid/SEO side, but the content has to come from us Write and edit copy across social, email, and print collateral in ComfortLogic's brand voice Draft customer-facing materials: campaign emails, direct mail copy, review responses when needed Graphic Design Produce branded graphics for social, digital ads, print Support photo/video asset organization and light editing for use across channels Coordination Directly manage our hyperlocal/social channels day to day Coordinate with our outside digital marketing firm so paid and organic content are working together, not against each other What We're Looking For 2+ years in marketing, ideally with both strategy and hands-on execution experience (agency, in-house, or freelance) Strong writing — you can nail a tone without being handed a script Working knowledge of design tools; comfortable with brand guidelines Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Google Business Profile, and small-business marketing channels Self-directed and idea-driven — this is a small company, you'll get trust and a blank canvas, not a rulebook Comfortable with AI tools Local to the Raleigh area preferred, for occasional check-ins, photo shoots or events — but this is largely a remote role What Success Looks Like Within the ramp-up period, the marketing backlog is cleared, our hyperlocal channels are running on a real calendar instead of ad hoc effort, and — most importantly — our brand reads as mature: consistent, trusted, and established, not like a startup still finding its footing. Once that foundation is in place, this role settles into an ongoing maintenance rhythm at fewer hours per week. To Apply: Send a short note about your experience and 2–3 work samples (writing, design, or campaigns you've led) to mjohnson@comfortlogic.us. Pay: $57,102.30 - $68,768.36 per year Work Location: Hybrid remote in Raleigh, NC 27603
