Description Job Description Summary The Marketing & Media Specialist plays a key role in supporting Okuma’s growing marketing needs by developing high-quality digital and multimedia content. As the company expands into new divisions, including Factory Automation and the Global Repair Center, this role will help ensure timely, impactful marketing assets that strengthen brand presence, support sales efforts, and enhance customer engagement. This position is critical in bringing creative capabilities in-house to improve speed to market, reduce reliance on third-party vendors, and deliver compelling content across digital platforms. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Multimedia Content Creation Design and produce high-quality multimedia assets to support marketing initiatives, including: Video creation, editing, and productionDigital ads, banners, and campaign contentPodcasts and audio contentAI-generated content and asset managementOther creative media as needed Web & Digital Platform Support Assist with content development and ongoing maintenance of web properties, including: Okuma.comMyOkuma.comCustomer and distributor portalsCreate and manage digital assets to support new and existing online experiences Marketing Communications Support the development of marketing content across multiple channels, including: Email campaignsSocial media contentBlog articles and written contentLimited print materials (e.g., flyers, ads) New Initiatives & Projects Develop training and educational videos for customers and distributorsCreate media assets to support new digital platforms and portalsCreate marketing materials that support talent attraction and promote Okuma in the community, including recruiting content, employer branding assets, and outreach-related materialsCollaborate cross-functionally to support evolving marketing and business initiativesAdheres to all company employment policies and safe practices Performs other duties as assigned and explores opportunities to add value Experience/Training/Education Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience working with web content management systems is a plus Knowledge/Skills/Abilities General: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and content strategy Ability to plan, prioritize, organize work, effectively handle multiple projects with track record of successful project completion, and work positively under pressure.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage a range of responsibilities and competing priorities while working under pressure to meet deadlinesSuperb time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet regular and frequent deadlines Technical Computer proficiency to include intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, Office skills, Adobe Creative SuiteProven experience in multimedia content creation and graphic design Proficiency in video editing, design tools, and digital content platforms Familiarity with AI-based content tools is preferredFamiliarity with social media platforms Communication Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as exceptional listening skillsExceptional ability to speak and write effectively in a business environmentExceptional ability to ask necessary questions Math & Reasoning Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and willingness to adapt to change and take initiative Physical and Environmental Elements Physical Demands Ability to sit continuously for over 3/4 of normal work shift, and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least 1/4 of the normal work shiftAbility to lift and carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds Ability to stoop, crouch and reach Ability to talk or hear continuouslyAbility to see clearly to do all work-related tasks (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less) Ability to operate a vehicle and possess a valid driver's licenseFinger dexterity is required frequently for over 3/4 of the normal work shift including operating a phone, computer/ electronic equipment Work Environment Position is typically performed in an office environment with standard equipment and moderate noise levels (e.g., computers, printers, copiers, light traffic, and phone use). As such, the employee may be exposed to an open warehouse area where temperatures may vary with outdoor conditions (heat and cold). Position may require occasional travel for off-site events, video shoots, community outreach activities, and other marketing-related initiatives.
