Marketer (Brand, Product Marketing, Storytelling) Location: San Francisco Reports to: CEO About Tavus Tavus is a research company building AI systems that enable real-time, human-like interaction between people and machines. Its technology combines multimodal perception and generation with low-latency infrastructure to power conversational video interfaces. The company is backed by leading investors including Sequoia Capital, Y Combinator, and Scale Venture Partners. The Role Tavus is hiring a founding marketer to lead brand, product marketing, and category development. This is not a traditional marketing role. You will operate as a single-threaded owner of narrative, working directly with the founder to define how the company is understood by the world. You will own end-to-end storytelling — from shaping the narrative to creating content to driving distribution. What You’ll Do Own and evolve the company and product narrativeTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messagingCreate high-quality content across formats: writing, video, demos, launchesSupport frequent product launches (often weekly) with structured messaging and assetsShape and maintain brand positioning across web, product, and external channelsDrive distribution across organic, social, and PR channelsContribute to defining a new category in an emerging marketWho You Are This role is open across seniority levels (typically 4+ years’ experience), with a strong bias toward execution over strategy. Narrative & Creative Strength Exceptional ability to turn complex ideas into clear, high-impact storytellingHigh attention to detail across writing, visuals, and overall brand qualityExperience building product-facing content (demos, websites, launches)Distribution & Growth Strength Strong understanding of content distribution and amplificationTrack record of creating high-engagement or high-visibility momentsIntuition for channels, timing, and audience reachCandidates may lean one way, but should be capable across both. Requirements Proven experience executing marketing work end-to-end (not just strategy)Ability to operate independently and manage multiple workstreamsStrong product intuition and ability to map messaging to user journeysHigh quality bar and attention to detailComfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with frequent releasesPreferred Background Experience in AI, technical productsExposure to early-stage or high-growth environmentsExperience helping define or launch new product categoriesScope & Impact Full ownership of brand and narrativeDirect partnership with the founderResponsibility for external perception of the companyOpportunity to shape positioning in a new and rapidly evolving category
