About this role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, results-driven Director of Paid Media to lead paid media strategy and execution across a portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on Google Ads and performance media, with full ownership over campaign strategy, optimization, and outcomes. This role is ideal for a senior paid media expert who thrives working in a collaborative team environment, likes to get in the weeds, thinks strategically, and is accountable for real business results—not just in platform metrics. You’ll partner closely with account, creative, analytics, and leadership teams to translate business goals into scalable, high-performing paid media campaigns that drive results for clients. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of complex paid media programs, from account architecture and bidding automation to attribution strategy and full-funnel performance optimization. Key Responsibilities Full-Funnel Strategy & Execution Design, execute, and optimize sophisticated Google Ads strategies across Search, Display, PMax, Shopping, and YouTubeBuild full-funnel paid media programs aligned to client goals, audience intent, and conversion pathsOwn account architecture, keyword strategy, audience development, creative alignment, and landing page performance Advanced Optimization & Performance Accountability Maintain direct accountability for ROAS, CPA/CPL, conversion volume, and lead qualityManage and optimize high-budget, 7-figure annual media spends with precisionLeverage smart bidding, automation, and AI-driven tools while maintaining strong human oversight Data, Attribution & Measurement Own attribution strategy and analysis, evaluating models (Data-Driven, Last Click, etc.) to clearly demonstrate paid media’s impact and channel valueEnsure tracking is properly configured and accurate, establishing feedback loops across GA4, Google Tag Manager, CRM platforms, and paid media systemsUse first-party data and CRM integrations to build high-value audience segments and inform predictive bidding strategies Strategic Advisement & Client Leadership Act as a senior paid media subject matter expert for clients, explaining the why behind performance shifts and the how behind future growthTranslate complex performance data into clear, defensible recommendations for internal teams and client stakeholdersStay ahead of platform updates, beta opportunities, and emerging performance media trends Candidate Requirements 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience, with deep expertise in the Google Ads ecosystemProven success managing complex, performance-driven accounts across both B2B and B2CExpert-level knowledge of Google Ads, Google Ads Editor, GA4, and Google Tag ManagerStrong analytical rigor with experience navigating attribution models and performance tradeoffsAbility to think strategically while remaining deeply involved in executionExceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex strategiesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple prioritiesA true “can-do” mindset with the ability to pivot quickly based on performance data or market volatilitySomeone who is curious, has fire in the belly, likes to have fun and is always looking to deliver outstanding results Nice to HaveExperience with Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, or additional paid media platformsFamiliarity with CRM platforms and offline conversion trackingExperience leveraging AI-driven tools for bidding, forecasting, or performance analysisExperience with UX and CRO to improve landing page performanceGoogle Ads, Analytics, or related platform certificationsSEO experience Salary commensurate with experience.
