About this role
Lamar Advertising Company seeks a Billboard Installer to build, install, and maintain outdoor advertising structures for high-visibility campaigns. In this field-based role, you’ll work at heights on billboards, handling vinyl installations, hardware, and lighting while following strict OSHA and company safety standards. You’ll operate trucks, lifts, and tools to complete work orders on time and to quality specifications. Collaborating with local operations and sales teams, you help keep displays safe, accurate, and visually impactful, supporting Lamar’s long-term customer relationships and strong community presence.
Install, maintain, and remove billboard structures and vinyl advertisements according to work orders and safety standards
Operate trucks, lifts, and hand/power tools to access and service billboard faces and structures
Inspect structures, hardware, and lighting; report and repair damage or safety issues promptly
Follow all OSHA, company, and DOT safety protocols, including use of fall protection and PPE
Read layouts, measurements, and digital work orders to ensure accurate ad placement and quality
Work outdoors in varying weather, at heights, and on uneven terrain as part of a field crew
Communicate with supervisors, sales, and operations to complete jobs on deadline
Maintain clean, organized work sites, vehicles, tools, and inventory of installation materials
Document completed work with photos and reports using mobile or tablet-based systems
Support special projects, emergency repairs, and night or weekend installs as needed
Billboard or outdoor sign installation
Working safely at heights with fall protection
Use of hand and power tools
Operating bucket trucks, lifts, or similar equipment
Basic construction, rigging, and hardware skills
Reading layouts, measurements, and site diagrams
Outdoor/field work in varied weather conditions
Vehicle and equipment safety and inspection
Digital photo and mobile work-order documentation
Basic electrical or lighting maintenance

OSHA 10 or 30-hour construction safety certification preferred
Valid commercial or clean driver’s license; DOT eligibility
Certified in fall protection and ladder safety (or ability to obtain)
