Job Overview
**This position is fully remote**
The ideal Designer candidate has strong visual design skills and a penchant for newspaper production. The Designer is responsible for creating and updating advertising materials for multiple markets, while adhering to deadlines and keeping design standards high. The Designer thrives in a dynamic work environment, multitasks very well and proactively communicates to advertising teams and other teammates. A strict attention to detail and ability to art direct — and be art directed — are required.
Job Responsibilities
Design client ads, Table of Experts, custom publications and other advertising-based materialsUpdate existing display ads and custom publicationsTone photos, find/create illustrations, and create PDFs for proofsWork through edits and iterations of advertising materials with local markets and clientsEnforce and adheres to strict deadlines and production protocols Help Operation and/or Event Design teams as needed.Identify and attend training opportunities Take on other duties assigned by Creative Director as needed
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate has:
Background in design and experience with advertisingMedia design experience and expertise in Adobe CC design tools — InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and AcrobatExperience editing and toning photos, creating illustrations, and coming up with creative visual solutionsExperience working with clients on advertising or campaign creationUnderstanding of local market advertising teams and how they operate on a daily basisAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, cross-group collaboration, and planning skills with a strict attention to details, process and deadlines
